Eaglemail POP3 Settings

 

Eaglemail supports a variety of POP3 and IMAP clients, including many mobile devices.  These instructions are generalized for most POP3 software applications, but further support will need to come from your mobile device vendor.

·         List of POP3 clients supported with instructions

·         Incoming mail server type: POP3

·         Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: pop.gmail.com

o    Port number:  995

o    SSL is required for connection (This is usually a checkbox that says something like: This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).

·         Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name: smtp.gmail.com

o    Port number: 465

o    SSL is required for connection (This is usually a checkbox that says something like: This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).

·         Outgoing server requires authentication: enabled (This is usually a checkbox)

·         For the authentication login information enter your full EagleMail address (including @eaglemail.csi.edu) and your EagleMail password.  

o    Example: username@eaglemail.csi.edu

1.       NOTE:  for students, your username is your student ID number.

2.       For faculty/staff, your username is typically your First initial Last name
